Miss Cook Islands 2009 - Engara Melanie Amanda Gosselin

04 Apr 09 -- Engara Melanie Amanda Gosselin will continue the reign of Miss Cook Islands as she was crowned as Maine Kuki Airani in this bi-annual beauty pageant held yesterday 03 April 2009.
Engara Melanie is 24 years old, a Graduate Management Trainee Student at the University of the South Pacific with hobbies singing, dancing, painting, composing songs and performing arts. Her ambition is to be a successful career woman with respect to their local community and as a devoted mother in 10 years time. She represents Miss Rarotongan Beach Resort and Spa.
Meanwhile, the Maine Tapairu (First Runner Up) awards went to Joyana Meyer and the Maine Purotu (Second Runner Up) awards went to Uirangi Bishop.
Engara Melanie will represent Miss Cook Islands 2009 in the upcoming Miss Earth 2009.
There were 9 candidates who competed in the Miss Cook Islands 2009 beauty pageant which was aired live from the National Auditorium at 6PM on April 3. It was also broadcasted on national radio and via internet on Radio Cook Islands.(WE)
