Jamillette Gaxiola Selected to Represent Cuba

Jamillette Gaxiola was born in Havana, Cuba. Her father Mr. Sergio Gaxiola Fajardo was born and raised in Culiacan, Sinaloa Mexico; a lawyer who graduated from UNAM with a Masters Degree in Criminology. Her mother Judith Kremets Liwants was from Havana, Cuba but raised in Madrid Spain. Her mother's decent is of a Lebanese father and a Cuban mother. Judith is a Fashion and Interior Designer. She migrated to Miami, Florida after graduating college. Jamillette has a beautiful younger sister Janira Gaxiola, 18 years old, who was born in Mazatlan Sinaloa, Mexico.
At the age of 3, Jamillette has started competing in pageants & local fashion shows. She is also an accomplished professional dancer trained in classical ballet by Angel Peralta. She has appeared in several local publications such as MIA, Quinceanera, Prensa Latina, Bebe, Jessica Mc Clintock, and Pixacao & Brazilian Jeans.
In 2007, Jamillette competed in Senorita Republica Deportiva produced by Univision where she placed 2nd runner-up. And in 2008, she was selected to represent her Mexican culture in Miss Mexico USA by competing as Miss Sinaloa USA-her father's hometown.
Currently, Jamillette lives with her family in Las Vegas, NV and is attending Community Collage of Southern Nevada majoring in Communications.
Jamillette attended Miss Cuba Organization casting hosted by Lenz Modeling Agency in Las Vegas. The selection process was judged by celebrity photographer Andres Gonzalez, Jessica Silva - Miss Cuba 08 & Geisy Hernandez Miss Intercontinental Cuba 09. Jamillette was not only selected because of her natural beauty but by her willingness to work hard to represent her island Cuba at the Miss Earth on October 2009.
Our delegate’s first personal appearance will be at the Green Fashion Show in Miami. The event will be held that the world famous Fountain Blu Hotel & Resort in Miami Beach Wednesday, March 26th at 7pm. In conjunction with Miami’s Fashion Week where twenty international designers will participate hosted my former Vice-President Al Gore.
The Miss Cuba Organization is extremely proud of its delegates’ achievements during these two years. First, with Ariana Barouk MCE '07 winning the title of Miss Eco-Tourism '07 and Marlyn Sanchez Cuba’s Top Model placing top 12 at the competition in Egypt & winning Miss Caribbean Queen '08 title in St. Marteen. And finally, Jessica Silva who will once again represent Cuba at Miss Bikini Int’l Pageant to be held in China. Jessica is working side by side with photographer Andres Gonzalez as his assistant & makeup artist. We wish Jessica much success.
