Miss Espana 2009 Finals -Not Yet
05 May 2009 -- According to submitted schedules, Miss Espana 2009 Pageant Finals will be held on 08 May 2009. This is ahead of the Miss Philippines Earth but there is great doubt that this will push through.
WE Favorite for Miss Earth Spain 2009, Miss Las Palmas, Ana Isabel MirandaCompeting for the title are 52 delegates who have been elected in their respective provinces. One of the winners of Miss Espana will be Miss Spain Earth.
Though it was earlier reported that the first runner up will be sent to Miss Earth, Miss Spain Organization will decide independently on who will be the best girl for each beauty pageant, according to Miss Earth Spain 2008, Adriana Reveron.
Patricia Rodriguez, Miss Espana 2008, was offered to represent Spain in Miss Earth 2009 but she declined. Current heavy favorite by Woman of the Earth visitors for Miss Earth Spain 2009 is Miss Las Palmas, Ana Isabel Miranda. Miss Espana 2008 will be sent to Miss Universe in two months time.
Last year, Claudia Moro was supposed to compete in Miss Earth 2008 but the Miss Espana 2008 winner, Patricia Rodriguez was ineligible to compete in Miss Universe due to age requirement (17 only). Then, the Miss Espana Organization decided to send Claudia Moro to Miss Universe 2008 instead of Miss Earth 2008 and Patricia Rodriguez to Miss World only. Adriana Reveron, Miss Spain 2007 1st Runner Up was supposed to compete in Miss Europe 2008 which was not held. Then, the Miss Spain Organization decided to send Adriana Reveron to Miss Earth 2008 as a replacement to Claudia Moro.
Telecinco which broadcasts Miss Espana is yet unclear whether they will continue to broadcast the show. For 14 years, the show has been telecast on primetime usually on Sunday night and was the most watched television show. But for the past 4 years, their statistics show that Miss Espana audience is steadily declining which is symptomatic of the show's burnout.
Due to the string of issues that they are facing, Miss Espana might seek to hold their finals from Marina D'Or in Oropesa del Mar complex in the province of Castellón to beyond its borders as far as Punta Cana in Dominican Republic. Furthermore, the finals could be pushed later into the summer.
According to a reliable source, the pageant is scheduled on September. Though, the place and the exact date is yet to be determined.
Spain is one of the winningest countries in beauty pageants and and a lot will be glad to accept them in their locations. Miss Espana pre-pageant activities in previous editions have been in held in Dominican Republic, Tunisia, Andorra, Fuerteventura and Toledo which received enormous coverage. The pageant is very marketable in promoting tourist destinations.
Adriana Reveron Miss Earth Spain 2008 is a top favorite during the Miss Earth 2008 Pageant becoming the "Goddess at the Pedestal" in the conclusion of the four Woman of the Earth polls. She became one of the eight finalists in the Miss Earth 2008 beauty pageant.
