08 May 2009 -- Some of the delegates took the opportunity to have a last shot at the pre-pageant activities to show their stuff on their quest for the coveted crown by participating in the Talent Competition. This was held on May 6, 2009 at the Teatrino, Promenade, Greenhills in San Juan City.
Filipinos are generally talented especially in performing arts. They might have at least one talent to show off especially in the field of singing. I think that in every single village in the country there is a singing contest! So it won't be surprising that the judges will have a hard time choosing the winner.
Beauty pageants are oftentimes a ticket to showbusiness so this is a great opportunity for the ladies to get noticed.

Miss Bataan, Monique Teruelle Manuel, 20 in her tear-jerker performance. One of the participants is actually a theatre actress i.e., Monique Teruelle Manuel, 20, Miss Bataan who performed an "un-glam" number that made one of the Woman of the Earth photographers cry.
But hands down to Miss Olongapo City, Angelee Claudett delos Reyes, 21, who did not only present one but four talents in a single performance that gained the approval of most judges and bagged the Miss Talent title. She performed a highly original acting number by reciting a monologue, sang a song, danced a tune, and mimicked a popular drama anthology host.
On the same occasion Miss Victorias, Adie Adelanter, 21, was named Face of the New Placenta.
The Grand Coronation Night will be on May 10, 2009, Sunday, 7:00 pm at the The Arena Entertainment and Recreational Center of the People, San Juan City. It will be televised locally by ABS CBN Channel 2 and abroad by The Filipino Channel.
