Woman of the Earth Prediction

07 Nov 08 -- The 19 member jury has submitted their list for the Top 16 Miss Earth Delegates for the final Earth Round with deadline on 06 Nov 2008 12pm GMT+3.

Woman of the Earth 2008 Final Prediction for Miss Earth

The ranking reflects the sentiments of the fans after 3 warm-up rankings. Below are tidbits of jurors' comments.

1. Spain (+1): Adriana proved again her fans' impression as a silent competitor. So suave Adriana. Congratulations! ...we did not see her much in the forums, but last week she made us proud being European...she is beautiful! a very strong contender...just by merely looking at her photos she made it to my list.

2. Colombia (+5): Well, well, well Mariana. How does it feel to be up there?...this could well be the year for Colombia. Although, it could be the year for many!...Mariana seems friendly and a classical beauty...she is the foremost candidate on the top of my list whom I have not really observed but simply relied on the photos, write-ups and hearsay...like most reaction when people see her online--one of the most beautiful faces...very positive aura, especially with her photos taken by Aly Reyes.

3. Brazil (+3): She is the best of the Latinas!...she is beautiful and yet looks very friendly.

4. Greece (-1): Ria is surely a top contender. The 8th position during the Water round was traumatic enough. She definitely secured a top 4 position finally...up close she looks plastic fantastic, but in evening gown she looked as pretty as we thought she would look...it would be too pathetic not to include her on the list. Seeing her gives an understanding of the cause of the Trojan War! However, much is expected from her. In turn, my best description of her: WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get), no more, no less... There is not much changes except I will put Greece as any of the top choices instead of the winner. Her interview skills might be a challenge and may be hold her back. She blushes too much and not enough eye contact.

5. Romania (-4): What happened?...She started very strong but the last week she failed to deliver and impress, still a great choice though...By the time I saw her first video appearance, I already knew that she will earn the top spot. No matter what packaging you will putting on her face, she will stand out. This was confirmed when I saw her and observed her upclose. However, having a rare opportunity of observing her performance for 16 hours straight, she is just a fad for this year's pageant...suddenly she got an attitude problem. I am afraid that she might not make the cut if she doesn't change similar to Korea and Brazil last year.

6. Philippines(-1): Sometimes too much is less. I love seeing her with lesser makeup, lesser gown accessories...She is simply beautiful. The problem is they made her TOO beautiful... It was questioned that reaching the No. 2 spot was due to a majority of the jurors are Filipinos but dipping into the 6th spot made others think that it was a reputable ranking after all.

7. Venezuela (+2): The highest leaper last ranking furthered her ranking with 2 more steps. One of the most distinct faces...she would definitely need an interpreter to tag along as communicating with her can be frustrating.

8. Peru (+2): Two more notches for Peru. How much more do you need in the finals Giuliana?...at first we did not notice her, but she made it clear during the preliminaries that she should not be forgotten... I will count her in. She knows how to move. She knows how to project. Even her simplest pose is elegant. She has a superior understanding of the interplay between body mechanics and aesthetics, except when she makes those uncontrollable laughs.

9. Tanzania (-5): Perhaps, Miriam felt that it was too much of sharp leaps on the 3 earlier rounds and finally settled for a comfortable 9th position... We think she is funny, very outgoing, elegant and she has the eyes of the pageant!...good body and beautiful face.

10. Thailand (-2): She is the contender from Asia we think, Very beautiful! She is beautiful, bubbly, and sexy. However, her personality is too generic for ANY beauty pageant.

11. Mexico (+3): Abigail pushed away from the edge of the Top 16 and settled for the 11th spot...at the pre-pageant pictures, she was very good looking but not very impressive on recent ones but she came back strong during the pre-pageant activities.

12. Bosnia (+9): The biggest leaper from invisible to a 12th position. An Oxana Federova look-alike.

13. USA (+4): Welcome Jana. So you want to show up only in the finale. Mr. Evan will be very happy about this. Good job!...Another example of "too much is less." While Miss Philippines was "overdone" by her looks. Miss USA was overdone by confidence and environmental platform. This is what I learned by studying the most complicated Architectonic Kantian Philosophical System for six years, simple is sublime.

14. Czech Republic (-2): You would not miss this lady. A young Catherine Zeta Jones look-alike. Hana has a reserved place in the hearts of the fans...Nothing new to say, except that I just find far more prettier that Miss Slovak Republic. In visual terms, its contrast.

15. Slovak (-4): Consistent in the Top 16. Reportedly, the sporting the best skin in the batch...more like a model as a lot of East Europeans look, very natural, very Miss Earth!

16. Guam (1): Jennifer has impressed the fans that she was secured a spot at the Top 16...she is very goodlooking, but for us she looks to USA!!! from Guam we expect exotic...she is plain but starts to look real nice and classic.

V: Challengers: Netherlands, South Africa, Costa Rica
VI: Arena: Ecuador, Honduras, Sweden, Kosovo, Canada, England, France, Russia, Hungary, Tahiti & Martinique.
VII: Special Mentions: Bolivia, Botswana, Bhutan, Jamaica, Nicaragua, Sudan, Suriname, Uganda, Japan, Lithuania, Poland, Switzerland, China, Slovenia, India, Israel, Panama, Latvia, El Salvador, Georgia, Korea, Northern Ireland, Turkey, Nigeria, Rwanda & Singapore.
