Market researcher Kirsty Nichol has won the title of Miss Earth™ (England), and will attend the international final of the environmentally conscious beauty pageant in the Philippines in November.

She works with John Mumford, a member of the Independent Consultants Group (ICG), and DP specialist John Wilson at Attain Insight, promoting Fanalysis, which tracks football supporters and fans of other events such as pop concerts.

Miss Earth contestants must demonstrate commitment to environmental causes and take part in international environmental projects and events such as tree planting ceremonies, sponsor visits and tours.

Nichol, who developed and delivered a special teaching programme for infant school children based on the theme 'a little goes a long way', comments: 'It was fantastic being able to work with children on environmental issues. I also had to show what my employers were doing for the environment.’
