Kota Kinabalu: The environment must be taken seriously and this is what former Unduk Ngadau Madelyne Nandu will stress when participating at the "Miss Earth" pageant in Boracay Island, Philippines, on Nov. 22.
Beauties from more than 90 countries will be taking part.

The recent Physics-for-Education Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) graduate expects a tough fight, especially where testing contestants' knowledge on environmental issues is concerned.

Madelyne M. Nandu who is the current Miss Malaysia Model of the World titleholder was chosen to represent Malaysia in the 9th Edition of Miss Earth Beauty Pageant.

Mandy, as she is fondly called, is 23 years old, stands 5'8" (175cm) and hails from Sabah.
