Pascale Nelide, Miss Earth Martinique 2008 winner, is all set to represent Martinique, an island in the eastern Carribean Sea in the coming Miss Earth 2009. She is 18 years old, young and vibrant, and is no doubt the most facially stunning among the contestants in the Miss Martinique 2008. Miss Martinique organization adheres to the requirements of Miss Earth pageant; one of those requirements is to crown the most beautiful woman, judging from her simplest look (without facial make-up). Pascale is intelligent and has an impressive height of 5 feet and 11 inches, a healthy slim figure, and a gregarious personality. She certainly has the ability to propel the advocacy of Miss Earth pageant and be an effective environmental ambassadress of Mother Nature. The volcanic ash of Mount Pelee in Martinique has created grey and black sand beaches in the northern part of her island, contrasting markedly from the white sands of Les Salines in the southern part of Martinique. This makes her island one of the most alluring and enchanting destinations in the world. She is proud to say that the northern part of her island has a mountainous and lushly forested area with an ensemble of 5 rainforest-covered extinct volcanoes dominating the Bay of Fort de France. Currently, she promotes and increases the level of awareness on the present environmental issues and she takes actions through the power of education, broadcasting and other media campaigns locally, nationally and globally.
